What does Auberge du Soleil mean? Its French translation is "Inn of
the Sun."
When did the Restaurant and Inn open? The
Restaurant opened in 1981. The Inn opened in 1985.
What is Relais & Chateaux? An association of
privately owned Inns, Restaurants worldwide, based in France and
founded in 1954. Membership is by invitation only. Currently there
are 43 in North America.
Who was the architect and interior designer? Sandy
Walker of Walker & Moody (415) 885-9940 is the architect.
Michael Taylor, world renowned California interior designer
unfortunately passed away in 1988, but his Company still exists
(415) 558-9940.
Can anyone tour the Sculpture Gallery? It is only
accessible to Inn guests and I Wolk Gallery visitors, unless
arrangements are confirmed through the General Managers office.
What kind of olive trees are in the olive grove?
Black mission and Manzanillo.
What are the vines on the trellises throughout the Inn,
Restaurant and Bar? Wisteria.
What time of year does the mustard start to bloom?
Late January through March.
What are the mountains we are looking at? Mayacamas
Mountains.
Do you provide transportation? No, but we can
arrange transportation for you.
How long does it take to get to the airport? San
Francisco International: 2 hours, Oakland: 1½ hours,
Sacramento: 1½ hours, Napa: 30 minutes. Please allow
extra time during rush hour.
What is the nearest airport where we can fly our private jet
into? Napa Airport in Napa, Sonoma Airport in Santa Rosa.
How far is St Helena? About 5 minutes north on Hwy
29.
Can I purchase a gift certificate? Yes, gift
certificates are available for purchase 7 days a week. Please
contact 707-963-1211 for additional information.
Do you have a toll free number? Yes, for Hotel and
Restaurant reservations only. 1-800-348-5406
Do you accept children? Auberge is designed for
adults seeking a tranquil atmosphere and, therefore, unsuitable
for children under 16.
Do you accept pets? No, however kennel services are
available in Napa.
How large is the property? The Auberge du Soleil
property and grounds cover about 33 acres.
Do you have laundry and dry-cleaning services available?
Yes, laundry & dry-cleaning requests should be called into the
Operator by 8:00am and will be returned at approximately 6:30pm
the same day.
Do you have safety deposit boxes? Yes, at the
reception desk and private safes available in all guest rooms.
Do you have a concierge? Yes, the concierge
department is located at the reception desk.
What credit cards do you accept? American Express,
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club.
Where is a local wine shop that has a good wine selection?
Dean & Deluca and St Helena Wine Merchants, both located in
St. Helena.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Is there a minimum number of
nights stay for your guest rooms? Yes, 2 nights if
arriving on a Friday or Saturday, holiday weekends may require a 3
night stay.
What time is Check-in and Check-out? Check-in:
3:00pm. Check-out: 12:00 noon.
Can we have an early Check-in? Guaranteed Check-in
is 3:00pm but we will be happy to note your request.
Can we have a late Check-out? Check-out time is
12:00 noon. Please contact guest reception on the day of your
departure for any exceptions.
Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms? We have two
rooms with wheelchair access. A wheelchair lift is also available
on the path from the guest rooms. The Restaurant and Bistro & Bar can also
accommodate wheelchairs.
Can we reserve the same room as last year? We book
guest accommodations based on room type. Specific rooms can be requested, but
cannot be guaranteed.
Does your room rate include breakfast? Yes, in our Restaurant.
Alcohol and gratuity excluded.
What kind of amenities do you offer? Auberge Spa,
pool & jetted tub, gym, steam rooms, one outdoor tennis court,
yoga pavilion, outdoor Sculpture Gallery.

Who produces your house wine?
Rutherford Ranch produces our Chardonnay and Reserve Cabernet.
Schramsberg produces our Sparkling wine.
Do you have room service? Yes, 24-hour with a
limited menu after 11:00pm and before 7:00am.
Do you have pool service? Yes, we provide food and
beverages at La Plage. The service is seasonal, 11am-6pm daily May
1 through October 1.
Do you have a Restaurant and Bar and when is it open?
Yes, and they are open 7 days a week for Inn guests and the
public.
What times are meals served in the restaurant?
Breakfast (7 days a week): 7:00am - 11:00am
Brunch (Saturday & Sunday): 11:30am - 2:15pm
Lunch: 11:30am - 2:30pm 7 days a week
Dinner: 5:30pm - 9:30pm Mon.-Fri 5:30pm-9:30pm Sat/Sun
Can we reserve an outside table for dining? No, but
we will note your request and accommodate you if possible.
How often does your menu change? Dinner menus
change approximately every 3 months, others seasonally.
Does your Bistro & Bar serve food? Yes, a lite fare &

What time does your Bistro & Bar open? 11am Daily
Can we bring our own wine to drink? Yes, we have a
$30 corkage fee for 750ml, $60 for a magnum.

Do you have a boutique?
Yes, our boutique offers a wide selection of Wine Country apparel,
gift items and sundries. It is located at the Auberge Spa for Inn guests.

Is your pool open to non-guests? No, our pool is for
Inn guests only.
Do you have a golf course? No, but The Chardonnay
golf club is located about 30 minutes from here and is open to the
public.
Do you have a spa? Yes. Auberge Spa offers unique
