October in the Napa Valley

October in the Napa Valley is perhaps the most beautiful time of year. The vibrant fall colors in the valley are breathtaking. The vines are full of ripe grapes just waiting to be picked.  Plan your visit to the Napa Valley to coincide with harvest.  In October, harvest is in full swing.  This is the time to actually see how wine is made. The stemmer-crushers are operating throughout the day, the fermentation tanks are full and bubbling with carbon dioxide, and gondolas overflowing with grapes are traveling along every countryside road in the valley.  Make sure to take full advantage of this magical time in the Napa Valley.
