Napa Resorts and Hotels Giving Back
Giving back to the community has always been a cornerstone of Auberge du Soleil. Connecting to our community is so important to us and we encourage our associates to be a part of local volunteer efforts. We were very pleased to find out that our Guest Services associate, Michaela Gsellar, has been a very active volunteer at the Napa County Animal Shelter (NCAS).
We applaud Michaela for her time, dedication and love for animals. Here is an article from the Happy Tails Newsletter from the NCAS:
We’ve been fortunate to have Michaela as a volunteer at NCAS during her stay here in Napa. Michaela has been on a one-year working visa at the Guest Reception of the Auberge du Soleil. Sadly for us, she will be leaving us in July to do a little traveling around our great states before heading back to Germany in August.
Always with a sunny smile, Michaela can often be found walking Cosmo to whom she has become quite devoted. Back home she doesn’t have a dog of her own because of a busy work and travel schedule, however she conceded that her favorite dog is the Great Dane (after Cosmo, of course).
Michaela’s roommate here in Napa adopted LEFTY, a volunteer favorite with a disfigured left paw (get it?) who has made himself at home and even adopted Sky, the household dog! Michaela wanted us all to know that Lefty is thriving and enjoying “ruling the roost”, although he does have a tendency to wake his owner in the middle of the night wanting attention (by tajrah). That’s okay—he gets to “sleep it off” during the day (the owner, on the other hand, isn’t so lucky).
